Studio to Street

"Studio to street" sounds like a slogan until you follow what it actually describes. A session happens through Blnka Records. Someone documents it, shapes it, turns it into an image or a video through Blnka Co. Eventually, some of that visual language finds its way onto a piece sold through the Kollective.
Skip a step and the phrase stops meaning anything. A lot of brands go straight from mood board to garment — no studio, no scene, just a look they liked. That's not a moral failing, it's just a different, faster process. Blnka's is slower because it can't start at the visual. It has to start at the sound.
The upside of slower is that nothing on the rack is arbitrary. Not every piece is tied to a specific session or release — most of the catalog isn't — but the pieces that are exist because something happened first. The clothing is downstream. It was never supposed to be the source.
