El Qarya: Yungzone's EP Rooted in the Village

El Qarya — Arabic for “the village” — is Yungzone's EP, led by its title track featuring Eyad Elkady (@eyadelkaddy_), who also produced the track. Mix and master credit on both EL QARYA and the second track, MALA3EEN, goes to TUFF (@tufftimee), who also co-produced MALA3EEN alongside Hady Waleed (@hadywaleed). Art direction is credited to Laïla A. Goubran (@goubranx).

Titling an EP after “the village” is a specific choice for an artist whose own label introduction pointed away from Cairo, toward Safaga on the Red Sea coast. It's a title that reads as origin, not aesthetic — a direct nod to where Yungzone is actually from, set against a Cairo-based label and Cairo-based collaborators.

TUFF's presence across mixing, mastering, and co-production on this EP — on top of his own solo catalog — makes him one of the most consistently credited names inside the entire Blnka Records operation.
